Tooth Extractions

Tooth Extractions

There are several reasons for extracting teeth including infection, dental trauma and crowding for orthodontic purposes. When extractions are necessary, we do our best to see that your child has as pain free of an experience as possible. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and local anesthesia are generally recommended for the most comfortable visit. After an extraction, it is very important to keep adequate pressure with gauze to control the bleeding. We recommend Tylenol or Motrin for pain control, along with a soft diet. Please contact our office if your child’s pain persists.
